We have reached the point where one operation is not enough. The next tool set is ready, but what state of the sheet does it receive?
It doesn’t automatically receive a fresh, undeformed blank. The process passes a state forward, and that history matters.
Arrange the operations
Open OP Manager and check the names, order, tools and tipping directions. An operation can contain several stages, so keep those levels separate.
In Process Editor, pay attention to the active operation before applying a change to all operations. A suitable setting for one step might not belong in the others.
Follow the sheet into the next operation
Open the stage tree and go through it in order. Which blank and tools participate? What behaviour is assigned?
At the handover, identify whether trimming, springback, locating or gravity fit is included. Read the actual setup rather than relying on the OP name.
I would write one short sentence for each stage. If those sentences don’t form a sensible physical sequence, investigate before running.
Editing the stages
Manage stage in Object Attributes lets you create, rename, copy, move and delete stages. A new stage needs its name, type and position. Copied attributes still need to suit the new role.
Save a variation before restructuring. Deleting a stage removes its stage attributes. The documentation also notes limited checks on custom tree edits and possible overwriting when the Process Editor is reapplied.
Where should recalculation begin?
If an early operation changes, later states based on its old history won’t show the full effect. Recompute from the earliest affected point.
For a later-stage change, Stage setup may let you reuse unaffected work. Keep the master and its variations identifiable.
After running, inspect the stage boundaries as well as the final shape. A problem that seems to belong to the last operation may have entered the model earlier. For tool changes across operations after compensation, see the Multi-OP post.
