How to Install PAM-STAMP 2025 on Windows

In this post we will go through the Windows installation route. You need the PAM-STAMP 2025 installer supplied through your authorised software access and the license information for your setup.

If you are using a university or company machine, the license server may already exist. Keep its connection details ready; you don’t necessarily need to create another server on your own computer.

Extract the installer first

Extract the downloaded archive into a temporary folder, then start the installation program. The documented route uses the Windows InstallShield wizard.

Follow the wizard through the installation location and components. The guide’s default main location is under Program Files\ESI Group\PAM-STAMP\2025.0. Use the actual location selected on your computer in later configuration.

Choose the components in the installer

The installer works through the component packages and can skip a component already installed. Review the selection rather than removing items just because their names are unfamiliar.

The documented package options include the graphical interface, solvers, FlexNet tools, Solver Manager and documentation. Different client or solver deployments may use different selections; for the full local learning workflow, make sure the required interface and solver components are present.

The PowerPoint reporting component is optional in the documented command-line properties. We will cover report preparation separately, so its absence is not a reason to postpone learning the basic software.

Open PAMSTAMP after installation

The guide places shortcuts under the ESI Group entries in the Start menu and desktop folder. Launch the installed 2025 application.

If a license message appears, go through the Windows license connection. An installed application and a working license connection are two different parts of the setup.

Once it opens, create a small practice project and confirm that you can save in your working folder. Then configure a solver host and use a suitable small example for the first calculation.

Need a silent installation?

The guide also documents Windows Installer command-line properties. I would keep that route for a deployment where the component choices and paths are already known. The wizard is easier to follow for a first installation because you can see those choices as they are made.

Continue with creating your working project after the interface and license are ready.
