Export Clear Images and Result Tables from PAM-STAMP 2025

Since these results are going into a post, let us make the screenshots readable. A colourful figure with tiny labels may look nice on your monitor and become almost useless inside a blog column.

I would decide what the image should explain before exporting it. Then keep the view focused on that point.

Prepare the view before exporting

Choose the result state and contour. Hide objects covering the region, but keep tool context when it explains the result.

For two variants, use the same viewpoint and contour range. Keep the legend visible, or arrange a separate legend so its variable, units and scale clearly belong to the close-up.

Save the image

Open Image Reporting for the active view. Choose the filename, format and pixel dimensions. PNG is a useful starting format for text and fine lines.

The dialog includes a white background and options for capturing all views together or separately. Use the arrangement that makes your explanation easier to follow.

Open the exported image at approximately the size it will appear on the website. Can you still read the legend without enlarging it?

Need numbers rather than another screenshot?

Use Report Table for node coordinates or element contour values. Select the entities, review the table and choose the output location. The HTML report can include the active-view image.

For curves, keep the data along with the picture if you will compare it later.

Write a useful caption

Name the state and variable, then explain the observation. “PAMSTAMP result” doesn’t add much when the reader already knows which software the article is about.

Use alt text for the useful visible information and nearby text for fuller interpretation. For an animation, explain the stage range; playback speed is a presentation choice, not proof of physical tool speed.

If you also need a presentation, the PowerPoint post shows how these exports fit into a report. The same readable figures can support both without redoing the entire result review.
